Least Common Multiples Worksheet

                    Lesson 1

Problem:                   Find the least common multiple of 84 and 72.

Solution                    List the prime factors of each.

Solution                    Multiply each factor the greatest number of times it occurs in any of the numbers.

Step 3:                        72 have three 2s and two 3s and 84 have two 2s and one 3 and one 7, thus the

smallest number that can be divided evenly by 84, 72 is 504
